Created in France during the last decade of the 18th century, this armoire showcases the delicate transition of style between the Louis XV and Louis XVI taste. Topped with a molded cornice, the armoire is adorned with a carved ribbon surrounding a bouquet of flowers in a medallion as well as low-relief foliage. Two paneled doors separated from one another through a central fluted post, open to reveal inner shelves and hidden drawers. Resting on four legs (the front ones being cabriole) and accented with an exquisite urn and foliage-carved scrolling apron, this 1790s transition walnut armoire will make for a great decorative addition to any bedroom or living room!
